It seems a while back now, but last year ss part of our 2011 Walking Festival the National Trust launched ‘NT One’... 101 one mile walks in the South West. In our opinion this was a fantastic little concept which is why we thought it was deserving of its own article to highlight those 1 mile walks across South Devon countryside. This week it’s the National Trust Walking Festival, and in fact our first ever walking festival too!! With walks organised nationwide we want to put the national spotlight on walking opportunities across our coast and countryside and raise the profile of the breadth of our work in the outdoors. In South Devon we manage some dramatic areas of coastline and so on Sunday 30th November, there will be not one, but two walks across our estate, both from 1.30pm -4.30pm. (more...)

The National Trust South Devon Countryside today launch two new downloadable walks around Wembury Point with a difference... Well now with the launch of these two unique marine and maritime walks for Wembury it’s possible to do both as National Trust ranger Simon Hill explains...

Well I noticed the other day that so far our trails section had not yet had any downloads added. Sometime ago now, the National Trust produced a fantastic guide to their car parks in Devon and Cornwall (where members park for free!!). This has been out of print for a while and so is rather hard to get hold of. However, the other day whilst perusing our main...
